69th Annual Convention

“The Intelligence of Truth: Technology, Criminal Consultancy and New Investigative Frontiers”

Ethics, competence and technology in service of justice and the protection of rights.

Sorrento, May 22 and 23 2026

Following the success of our 68th National Congress in Genoa, the 2026 edition will focus on:

• the role of private investigators and technical consultants in criminal proceedings;
• expert consultancy for defense attorneys, including retrials and case reviews;
• investigative activity in support of both defendants and victims;
• the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, always under human and professional governance.

Headsets will be available throughout the event for simultaneous translation from Italian to English.

IKD General Assembly – May 23, 2026

Federpol will also host the IKD General Assembly on Saturday, May 23, 2026, making Sorrento a central meeting point for European and international investigative associations.

This represents an additional and valuable opportunity to:

• strengthen institutional relationships;
• discuss shared challenges and future strategies;
• reinforce international cooperation within the investigative profession.

Accommodation & Booking Information

FEDERPOL has secured a special accommodation agreement with the Hilton Sorrento Palace, valid for:

• the Congress dates (May 22–23, 2026);
• as well as preceding and following nights, for delegates wishing to extend their stay.

All reservations will be handled directly through the FEDERPOL Secretariat, which will assist international delegates with hotel bookings and logistics.

⚠️ Important notice:

Sorrento is a highly sought-after and expensive tourist destination, particularly in late May.

Due to the very high demand, some room blocks will close early.

For your convenience, we are pleased to attach the official Congress brochure, containing a concise overview of the event, its themes, and logistical information and the registration form to be filled out and sent to [email protected] .

Why Your Participation Matters

The presence of international associations such as yours represents:

• a strong signal of international unity and cooperation;
• an opportunity to exchange best practices, professional standards, and experiences;
• a concrete step toward building a stronger European and global investigative network.

The Congress will welcome institutional authorities, academic and legal experts, national and international speakers, and more than 300 licensed professionals from across Italy and Europe.

We would be truly honored to welcome an official delegation from your Association and to explore future initiatives and forms of collaboration.

For any further information regarding participation, accommodation, or institutional involvement, please feel free to contact the FEDERPOL Secretariat.

We look forward to welcoming you to Sorrento and to strengthening our shared commitment to professionalism, ethics, and international cooperation.
